Easy – our SMS marketing online tool is user friendly and easy to use. Everyone in your company can learn how to use it just in few moments. So, there is no need for trainings and it is easy to delegate tasks to submit SMS campaign to colleagues if responsible person is on holidays or absent.

Cheap – SMS marketing prices come from 0.004 EUR per SMS. Of course the price depends on country and amount.  If you compare to the internet marketing where average CPM (Cost Per thousand Impressions) price is 2-4 EUR, you will see that to reach customers with SMS is cheaper and more effective. While internet advertising targets to a wide audience, SMS marketing targets to customers that are already interested in your services.

Even if SMS marketing is quite cheap, you can follow these tips and cut your cost.

1. Send SMS campaigns to active phone numbers

Our ten years experience in SMS advertising lets us say, that in long time collected phone numbers data bases ~5-10% of phone numbers is not active. So with ever SMS campaign you pay for messages that do not reach anyone. 2011 statistic shows that mobile penetration rate in Europe is 128% and is growing. This means that users have more that 1 subscription, but it’s hard to say which phone numbers are constantly active. And pre-paid cards are usually used for some time and then users just through them. So, how to find active phone numbers in your data base? The answer is easy – you need to track delivery. To make it as easy as possible we give you report of phone numbers that did not received SMS. After sending 3-5 SMS advertising campaigns with our SMS marketing tool you will get the list of non-active phone numbers and will be able to delete them from data base.

2. Track reaction and customers feedback

Only tracking of customers reaction and feedback will tell you if SMS marketing campaign was a success. If you do not track results, probably you are just waisting your money. Tracking customers reaction can be done in different ways: put secret word or voucher code for discount in SMS text and see how many customers used it; put a link to mobile site and see how many times traffic increased and ect. To collect customers feedback you can always ask them to send information back (using short codes or normal phone number as a sender).

3. Send information that is  relevant to customer

Some companies that use SMS marketing make mistakes and every time send advertising information to all customers. We suggest to think before sending such SMS campaigns and to ask yourselfis this information really relevant to all customers? For example, you have retail clothing stores in few different cities. And You have huge sale in one or few shops in city A. Does customer who lives in city B needs to know about sales in city A shops? Knowing that information is not relevant to all the customers is easy, but some times it is hard to exclude customers one form the other in big data base. That’s why we offer to categorized customers contacts in the most appropriate method for you (according to the city, age and ect). This will help to reach customers with the most relevant information for them. More about categorizing and target SMS marketing you will find in other posts.
